New Year's resolution

First, let me start by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR! May you be richly blessed in 2023!!

In the Bales family, we started the year with a BANG! 💥

Meet my brand new grand babies!
Owen and Eleanor - born on Christmas morning. 🥰

Did I mention they live in Tennessee? Sooooo far!! But I digress...

Let’s get down to business.

With a new year comes the opportunity for a fresh start: a chance to assess, reset, adjust, improve. New year, new you…am I right?!

Are you a big New Year’s Resolution person? Has it been an effective way to bring sustainable changes into your life?

If you answered yes, then HIGH FIVE to you, and keep it up!!  🙌

But if you answered no, you are not alone. 88% of us don’t stick to our resolutions…which begs the question: is there a better way?

For the last 5 years, some of my peeps and I have opted to choose a ‘Word of the Year’ instead…and for me, it has been transformational.

Choosing a guiding word is a way to anchor your intentions for the new year.

The word you pick aims to underpin your actions and unify your goals in a more holistic way than a New Year’s resolution. Rather than achieving an accomplishment, such as eating healthier or travelling more, a guiding word keeps you focused on an underlying driving force that guides your everyday choices.

For me specifically, it is something that helps me stay grounded in who I am and how I want to show up.

I have put together for you a downloadable PDF to help you choose your word of the year. In it you will find a 4 step process and a list of 50 words to get you started and inspire you. I also share some of the words I used the last few years and how they impacted my life.

If you decide to hop onto the 'Word of the Year' bandwagon, share your word with me! I'd love to hear from you.

Until next time!
